I believe this: it takes a village to support and shore up an individual. I would like to be a part of your village.
When once asked by a radio programme what is the one thing which comforts me most in life, I immediately blurted out ‘honesty’. While hashing out what I meant, it turned out I meant ‘not keeping up appearances’ because the effect of that kind of sharing is vulnerability and connection. Genuine connection, fleeting or standing the test of time, is my most sought after experience because of it’s uplifting and supportive nature for all involved.
My name is Isis Goldstein and my entire professional life has been dedicated to the support of families, mostly young parents. From my early days in childcare to 25 years as a toy-shop entrepreneur I’ve been fascinated by the shifting dynamics within that closest of close-knit units, the family. In 2023 I was a funeral planner, an experience which inspires me now daily.
For the past ten years I have concentrated on expanding my knowledge of psychology and coaching with special interests in Transactional Analysis, Relational Therapy and group work. My influences are varied from therapy masters Esther Perel and Terry Real to life skill teachers Julia Cameron and Brené Brown. I’m driven by wanting to know how and why we do what we do and how can we better navigate the choppier waters in life?
People describe me as warm, open, honest and genuinely interested. My love of self-mockery and humor are punctuated by a boulderous laugh.
I would love to meet you!
